This blog contains information on computers and the Internet – advice, tips and tricks. The aim is to discuss anything computer related, but to keep it as plain and simple as possible and also, more importantly, to learn from each other. Have you ever needed to know the answer to a simple question, but didn't have the time or inclination to use a search engine or on-line forum and trawl through endless, irrelevant pages for the solution? If so, then you have arrived at the right place!

Introduction to "Computer Academy."

Hi everyone! The information contained here is relevant to computers and the Internet. You can expect assistance relating to operating systems e.g. Linux, Windows; software packages e.g. download managers, word processors; web browsers e.g. Firefox, IE; email clients e.g. Thunderbird, Windows Mail, and no doubt much more besides. The aim is to keep the discussions relatively plain and simple i.e. beginner to intermediate; we can leave the more complicated topics to other websites! Furthermore, as I'm sure you can appreciate, the depth and quality of knowledge in the early stages of a new blog is unlikely to be substantial; as I'm not a computer expert, by any means, I can only offer a small amount of help. However, as the number of people visiting this blog increases, the level of assistance will undoubtedly improve, which means we will all benefit by learning from each other. I know there are other ways to seek help e.g. search engines and on-line forums, I've used them myself on numerous occasions, but they can be extremely time consuming! Consequently, if there's a short cut method, such as using this blog, then doesn't it make sense to use it?

Please leave comments or questions on this blog, or if you prefer, contact me via email (please see my profile for details).

Thanks for reading, speak to you again soon!
